AMFAR Research Project in Zimbabwe

2014

Researching and Advocating for Civil Society Participation and Influence in PEPFAR and Global Fund Budget Allocation Processes in Zimbabwe This project builds on civil society monitoring of and advocacy on public budget allocations for and utilization on health HIV/AIDS interventions in Zimbabwe. It seeks to add another layer of analysis and advocacy by providing an assessment of and enhancing the development partnersí engagement with civil society in their budget decision making processes and implementation of HIV/AIDS donor-funded interventions. Specifically, the project seeks to identify and review donor resource allocation systems and processes at the national level in Zimbabwe to understand and promote civil society roles and responsibilities in donor budget allocation and monitoring exercises.
